Bangladesh to play practice game against India A

The visitors will play their two-day practice game at Secunderabad

With less than desirable performance in the New Zealand tour, Bangladesh’s next assignment will see them tour India for a one-off Test match. It is certainly going to be special moment for Bangladesh as this will be their first ever tour to India since being granted Test status in 2000 by International Cricket Council.

The visitors will first play a two day practice game against India A at Secunderabad on 5th February. The side will then play their one-off test against India at Hyderabad on 9th February on Thursday.

There were impediments in the build up to the series as Hyderabad Cricket Association issued a letter to the BCCI claiming lack of finances being a big barrier to host the one-off test series between Bangladesh and India. The issue was resolved amicably by both the parties as Hyderabad is all set to host the historic encounter between India and Bangladesh.

It will be interesting series as Bangladesh are set to play their first ever test match in India against a formidable home team.
