BPL — Battle of Survival

Fate of the Titans and Riders hang on today’s match

Today’s match schedule will be deciding factor of who will go for the Qualifier round and who will end up in the Eliminator round.

Adding twist to an already thrilling tournament, we have 4 teams, all stuck on 12 points and this means, everything is hanging by a thin thread. It can all go for a toss as the day progresses. All the teams are out of the comfort zone, as no one can predict the outcome.

It will all come down to the Titans and the Riders as their loss or victory will decide the fate of other teams.

4 Teams stuck on 12 points!
Khulna Titans:
Current points :12 | Position: 5

Titans will now face the risk of elimination as they battle against the Dynamites. This puts the Titans in precarious position as this is a must win match for them. Only a win in this match can ensure that they will go through to the play offs.

Titans vs Dhaka (17:45 local | 11:45 GMT | 17:15 IST)

Rangpur Riders:
Points: 12 | Position: 4

The fate of the Riders hangs on today’s match. Their victory will ensure their place in the play-offs. The Riders are in a lose-lose situation. If they are unable to win today’s match, their only hope would to make it to the play-offs would be the defeat of the Titans.

Chittagong Vikings:
Points: 12 | Position: 2

The Vikings are in a good position as their defeat against the Kings didn’t cause a big dent, and they still maintain the no. 2 position. The Vikings and the Dynamites will both go through the play-offs regardless of the Riders and the Titans win today, as it will make the Vikings slide down to 4th position.

Rajshahi Kings:
Points: 12 | Position: 3

Kings have managed to keep their playoff prospect alive by defeating the Vikings by a comfortable 6 wickets. They will be able to qualify if either Riders or Titans win today’s match as it will make them slide down to the 4th position. But if Titans and Riders were both to win today’s match, then the Kings will be out of the game and not be able to qualify for the playoffs.

Let’s see who gets through to the play-offs starting from December 6th.
