Pakistan complete 5–0 whitewash of Sri Lanka
Left-arm quick Usman Khan led the way with the ball to see the hosts cruise to nine wicket win in the final game played at Sharjah.

Usman Khan Shinwari who replaced Mohammad Amir was the star of the show with the ball as ripped apart Sri Lanka’s batting lineup to see Pakistan inflict 5–0 whitewash on the visitors.
In reply, Pakistan’s opening duo of Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman put on a partnership of 84 runs to setup a comfortable nine-wicket win over the Islanders in the fifth and final game of the one-day series played at Sharjah.
Sri Lanka’s top order once again failed to deal with potency produced by Pakistan’s pace attack. Usman was at the forefront as he did most of the damage with the ball to dismiss Dickwella, Chandimal and Tharanga in space of two overs. The side failed to recover from the setback as they folded for 103 runs in 26.2 overs.
Hasan Ali and Shadab Khan also picked two wickets apiece while Usman Khan claimed his best figures in limited overs cricket with 5 for 34 to his name.
Upul Tharanga’s side has now lost 12 games in a row as we will see big changes in the setup following second consecutive whitewash in the format at the hands of Pakistan.
Sarfraz Ahmed’s side look unstoppable at the moment with batting and bowling on all cylinders. They have yet to be beaten in the one-day arena since the ICC Champions Trophy game played at Edgbaston against India.
