Rajshahi Kings crush the Titans and march on to the finals

Rajshahi Kings defeated Khulna Titans and won the match by 7 wickets

KHULNA 125/9 (20.0 Ovs) | RAJSHAHI 129/3 (19.2 Ovs)

Khulna Titans won the toss and decided to bat first and set a massive target. But after a steady first 2 overs, it all became a big mess for Titans and there were two run-outs, in the space of three deliveries. Both the openers were gone within 10 minutes of the play and just when the Titans thought that it couldn't get worse from this. They lost another wicket. Farhad Reza, the right-arm fast bowler, provided the 3rd wicket and Titans were left stunned at 17 for 3.

Mahmudullah and Pooran tried to do the damage control with their 20-ball 37 run partnership. But Afif got rid of Pooran and Samit Patel slayed 3 more Titans including Mahmudullah. Titans could only gather 125 runs on the board and they needed a really strong bowling attack to defend the total.

Kings started the chase on a very cautious note after loosing Mominul early. Afif showed good composure to bat on a little beyond the half-way stage and kept the scoreboard ticking. Sabbir (43 not out), after a while, flourished with his bat, accompanied by James Franklin (30 not out), to drive Kings towards victory.

Rajshahi Kings have come a long way after surviving the eliminator against the Chittagong Vikings and then defeating the Khulna Titans tonight in the second qualifier by 7 wickets. They will meet Dhaka Dynamites in the tournament decider on Friday.
