Virat Kohli and Boys eye series win against struggling Australia
India look to seal T20 series against Australia
In-form India will look to continue their domination of Australia and seal the three-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series at the Barsapara stadium today.
India, started the T20 series on a winning note outclassing the visitors in every department to register a nine-wicket victory via the Duckworth/Lewis method in a rain-marred match in Ranchi on Saturday.
The Men in Blue, who produced a spectacular all-round show in the opening match, will hope to deliver a similar kind of performance here today.
Meanwhile, Australia will look for a better performance from their middle order to get back to winning ways and to keep their hopes alive in the T20I series.
Earlier, Australian stand-in skipper David Warner had insisted that his team was not let down by their defeat in the first T20I in Ranchi and would continue to play with the Australian brand of cricket in the remaining two games of the series.
Australia will have to do something different to upset the rhythm of the host if it wants to stay afloat in the T20I series.
Besides Warner, his opening partner Aaron Finch is the mainstay in the Australian line-up who has devised a way to tackle the Indian bowling with a fair degree of success.
But what has bothered the visitors is the middle order where the likes of Travis Head, Moises Henriques, Daniel Christian and even wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Paine have not been able to do much.
History also favours India as it enjoys a 10–4 advantage in the head-to-head count between the teams.
